Questions about tracking

The USPS Tracking status is "Label Created, not yet in system." What does that mean?

Normally this means that your order is awaiting pick-up, but see below.

The USPS Tracking status is "Label Created, not yet in system" for a while. Is there a problem?

Probably not. The most likely reasons for this are: USPS failed to pick-up our mail (this happens when a new carrier is learning the route), we sent you the notice too soon, or your order was not scanned when it was picked up.

How can I tell which of those three problems is the reason for the delay?

You generally cannot. If the tracking email was sent on a Sunday or federal holiday, then it was probably our error. Usually, the package will show up in a few days, but if the problem is that the package was not scanned at pick up, it can take longer.

My package(s) should have arrived by now. What should I do?

Contact USPS. Be sure to have the tracking number handy.

Questions about orders placed

Why didn't I receive a confirmation email?

Assuming that you provided your email address and it was entered correctly, you were sent a confirmation email when you placed your order. You may need to check your spam or junk folder.

I placed my order yesterday. Why hasn't it shipped?

Orders are generally processed over the weekend, and are picked up on Saturday or Monday (assuming that neither is a federal holiday). If you placed your order at the end of the day on a Sunday, it would not be processed until Saturday. If the Monday after that happens to be a federal holiday, it is possible that your order would not go out until Tuesday (i.e., nine days after it was placed). This is the worst case. Keep in mind that emails with tracking information are generally sent only on days when the mail is picked up, so your order may be awaiting USPS pickup for several days.

The most common source of delay, however, is that the shipping address provided is not a valid address, and we've emailed you about this problem and haven't heard back. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder. You can avoid this altogether by entering the shipping address carefully. If you're not sure about the exact address, you can confirm it with USPS using their zip code tool.
